A tragi-comic detective story, Distracted undermines the conventions of the genre in order to explore the absurdity of one man’s state of being.

An ironic policiers about Detective Henry Baker, assigned to a murder which he has no interest in solving. He’s quitting the force in a few days – what does he care? – he wants to see out his time as painlessly as possible. His plan his thwarted, however, when he is given a new partner, Derek Mountjoy, a man desperate for promotion otherwise his wife will leave him.
