An ironic policiers about Detective Henry Baker, assigned to a murder which he has no interest in solving. He’s quitting the force in a few days – what does he care? – he wants to see out his time as painlessly as possible. His plan his thwarted, however, when he is given a new partner, Derek Mountjoy, a man desperate for promotion otherwise his wife will leave him.
