The Great Acting Blog: “What Kind Of Effect Do You Have On Your Colleagues?”

Do you let your fears and insecurities get the better of you and grind people down with your negative attitude? Do you see the world only through your own eyes, viewing everyone as a potential threat? Does your cynicism mean that you suck the creativity out of the room, only willing to do what you’ve done before?

Or, do the creative possibilities offered by the other people in your company energise you? Are you open and eager to begin a true artistic journey, and actually discover? Do you draw out the best in your scene partners, inspiring them to greater heights through your own daring efforts? Do you excite?

Stanislavsky said that those depressed souls who see intrigue everywhere, have no place in acting. I’m inclined to agree with him.
