Acting always reveals the truth of who you are. And I’m not just talking about the performances, but the life itself. It’s just too demanding, the challenges are unrelenting, eventually there can be no place to hide. Whatever you really want, whether that’s fame, or money, or love, or attention, or status, or a certain lifestyle, it will be revealed to you in time.

I remember the great American actor, Mickey Rourke, saying that when he lost his fame, his career, his money and his friends, all he had left was his work, and it was then that he realised it’s true value.
