The Great Acting Blog: “Don’t Try And Change Them, Work With Them”

It’s almost impossible to change who people are. To try is to make our lives joyless and waste enormous amounts of energy, losing focus on our important goals in the process.

As the saying goes, it’s better to see people for who they really are rather than who you’d like them to be.

Respond to them rationally rather than emotionally. Try to see the world through their eyes and work with their nature rather than against it. Accept them. And get on with the work.
