The Great Acting Blog: “Busyness Can Be Laziness”

Laziness is to do with the importance of the task you are undertaking, not the volume of your activity.

If you’re hyper-busy doing work that doesn’t matter, then that is a form of laziness.

Being hard-working isn’t necessarily about doing a million hours a week. It’s about facing up to the difficult, complex, meaningful questions of your life.

Be careful then, that your busyness isn’t merely a tac-tic to avoid facing up to those scary but important questions, the questions that actually matter.

Busyness can be laziness.
