Noirish Project Blog: “Once More Into The Woods, My Friends, Once More”
I often think that if I’ve done something once, then it means I can do it again, and I will be armed with this mantra as we once again head into the woods to complete the filming of scenes we weren’t able to do last month (yep, because of the freak weather). I will not only be dusting down the old shot list, but also re-rehearsing the scenes we didn’t do, just to refresh and top-up any lost vitality,(especially important since we have a climactic scene for the character of Billy). The thought of having to dig up old creativity (so to speak), can seem daunting, but once a start is made, it’s surprising how much of the old work the human mind has stored away, as it all comes flooding back after the seal is broken.
One of the things we missed out on during last month’s truncated shoot, was the relaxed freedom working in the countryside offers, where you haven’t got to worry about the myriad potential problems a city can bring, and we had missed out last time because we were fighting to get as much done as we could before the snow became too heavy – it seems that mother nature will have her way regardless of location. However, this time, the Sun has been predicted to shine upon us – let it be so.
