Become someone exciting to work with.
Ensure that what you offer, what you can bring, your accomplishments, what you represent, your skills, are exciting to those you want to work with. This means knowing the kind of work you want to do and the kind of people you want to work with, and setting yourself on the right path.
How can you know what is exciting to others, exciting to people you haven’t even met yet, or whose existence you haven’t even learned of yet? You cannot. You must first take action to excite yourself, and go from there. Know that if people are excited to work with you however, you and your contribution will be valued, as oppose to being treated like a drone.
Mediocrity wants mediocrity. Those who see acting as just a job, do not care. All they are interested in is that you have the requisite names on your CV, and if you do not, then you will be binned.
Other artists however, want to work with other artists. They want to see something extraordinary. They want their work to create transcendence and transformation, within themselves.
