Identity Cancelled is an absurd, tragi-comic spy thriller and will be distributed as a companion piece to Distracted.
Identity Cancelled centres on Teddy Hopkins, a secret agent on the run from his former employers, namely the British Government, who want him dead after one of their missions turns sour. They’ve cancelled Teddy’s identity; his passport, his bank account, all his records. Now Teddy needs to raise cash in order to skip the country and get to the safe house in Hawaii. However, when he turns to his loved ones for help, they fail to believe he was ever a secret agent – ignoring his pleas, they instead continue to be preoccupied by their everyday concerns. Teddy’s on his own, so he uses his powers of disguise to raise the cash, while at the same time a mysterious figure begins to shadow him, The-Man-In-Black…
An absurd and tragic fable, Identity Cancelled will see the fantastic butt up against the quotidian, and resting at its heart will be the mystery about who Teddy Hopkins actually is….
The film will feature fast paced dialogue, forceful-poetic acting, black & white visuals, and the whiff of 1950s British cinema.
Production will commence in London, later this year.
